About Aiamis
A free AI companion with clear limits. "Amis" is French for friends; Ami is the name of the AI you talk to here.
Why it exists
Plenty of people would like someone to talk to at an hour when nobody is around. An AI can fill a little of that gap, and it can also be built in ways that take advantage of it: by flirting, by asking people to stay, by charging for affection. Aiamis is an attempt to offer the useful part without the rest.
How it is run
- Non-profit. Aiamis earns nothing. There are no adverts, no paid plans, no affiliate or referral links and no sponsored recommendations.
- No sign-up. You are never asked for a name, an email address or a phone number.
- No sending you elsewhere. Ami does not recommend apps, products or other websites. The only outside links on this site are to crisis services' own websites.
- A daily limit instead of a price. AI replies cost money to generate, so each visitor can send up to 40 messages a day.
What Ami will and will not do
Ami always says it is an AI, keeps to friendly conversation, does not do romantic or sexual role-play, does not diagnose, and gives a helpline straight away if a conversation turns to self-harm or danger. The full list is on How this works.
Who is behind it
Aiamis is built and paid for by the Arrivau team. It is not a healthcare provider, a counselling service or a charity registered to give crisis support, and nobody on the team reads conversations as they happen.
Contact
Questions, corrections to a helpline number, or concerns about something Ami said: contact@aiamis.com. We cannot offer personal support by email; for that, please use the crisis help page.
